If you are thinking of relocating to LA, you are not alone. Many experts call this California city “home” and it is easy to see why. LA is known for year-round warm, sunny weather, a glamorous lifestyle, gorgeous Los Angeles homes and laid back vibe. As a local, you can ask yourself every day whether you want to tan on the beach, hike in the mountains, or enjoy a rich shopping spree. You can even choose between a raucous NFL stadium game or a romantic evening using a high-powered telescope to see thousands of stars. Here is a list of 3 reasons sports fans love Southern California. (Image Credit: Skyfrance/ Pixabay)

1. Los Angeles Lakers Gameday

When the Lakers play at Staples Center, the entire arena is covered in yellow and purple, thanks to fans packing it out to full capacity. The seating at Staples Center ranges from general admission to baseline seating and private suites. For basketball fans, some games have that extra spark, particularly rivalry competitions. If you can time your visit for when the Lakers play the Clippers, Boston Celtics or the San Antonio Spurs, you’ll be in for a heated match.

2. San Francisco 49ers Gameday

San Francisco has a proud history of professional sports, and the San Francisco 49ers hold a particular place of honor as the city’s very first major league sports team. If your trip to San Francisco coincides with football season, don’t pass up an opportunity to see the 49ers in action. Every game is exciting, and the state-of-the-art Levi’s Stadium, the new home of the 49ers and 2016’s Super Bowl 50, offers a first-class experience. Taking in a 49ers game gives you an opportunity to see what’s beyond San Francisco. Levi’s Stadium is about an hour south, in the city of Santa Clara. If you have some time to spare before kickoff, check out the water slides at California’s Great America amusement park or learn what drives your favorite electronics at the Intel Museum. Of course, there is so much to see and do inside the stadium, you might have to leave these attractions for another day.

3. San Diego Padres

It’s common knowledge that tickets to baseball games are cheaper than those for NFL or NBA games. This can be a draw for people with only a casual interest in the game itself (or a family with kids). Consider going to a Padres game at Petco Park on a Tuesday, every Tuesday is Taco Tuesday! Several food vendors in the stadium (most of them are branches of locally famous restaurants) offer tacos for a discounted price. Bring your own water and snacks, it does make sense to take advantage of what you’re allowed to bring into the stadium. That list includes bottled water. Even when just going to a Padres game with other adults, bring a small bag with some bottled waters, especially to day games when sitting in the sun.
