This revelation comes from a comprehensive analysis conducted by real estate experts, Agent Advice, covering over 130 celebrity-involved property transactions in the United States since January 2023. The study aimed to identify celebrities with the highest profits by comparing their original purchase prices to the final transaction amounts.
Mark Wahlberg’s substantial profit came from the sale of his sprawling 30,500 square-foot mega mansion in Beverly Park, Southern California. Initially listed at $87.5 million, Wahlberg managed to sell it for $55 million in February, experiencing a 37% reduction in the asking price. Having purchased the land for $8.25 million in 2009 and enlisted Richard Landry to construct the mega-mansion, Wahlberg’s astute real estate move resulted in a remarkable $46.7 million gain. Following closely is beloved actor Brad Pitt, who secured the second-highest profit of $31.3 million. In April, Pitt sold his long-held Los Feliz compound, the former family home where he raised his six children with Angelina Jolie, for $33 million. Having acquired the 6,700 square-foot mansion over three decades ago for $1.7 million, Pitt realized a substantial 1,840% profit. Pitt expanded the property over the years by acquiring neighboring lots but opted for downsizing by swapping homes with actress Aileen Getty.
Céline Dion made headlines with a $21.8 million profit by selling her expansive 31,000-square-foot mansion in The Summit Club, Las Vegas, this May.
