Music legend and founder of the Beatles, John Lennon, is now selling his Manhattan Penthouse, ‘lost weekend’ with an asking price of $5.5 million. Lennon lived in the home in the 70s with his then mistress May Pang, for about 18 months.

The three-story apartment is located at 434 East 52nd Street, Sutton Place. It’s where Lennon had some of his iconic Photos taken, wearing his ‘New York City’ T-shirts in 1974.

Since the shining days of the Beatles, the home has been renovated from the pre-war architecture to a more contemporary design.

It comes with three floors, four bathrooms, five bedrooms, and four fireplaces. The entry-level features a lavish living room with inlaid wood floors and high ceilings, and a vast chef’s kitchen with a ‘French Vibe’. There’s also a corner library and dining that could fit about 20 people.

The lowest floor features a ‘self-contained’ one-bedroom apartment with its own private entrance, a kitchen, and a living room. The new homeowners will be happy to find that the building is pet-friendly. It also comes with a full-time doorman, landscaped gardens at the end of the cul-de-sac.

While John Lennon eventually moved out of the home and moved back with his wife, the home still bears with it a lot of rock history. It’s now up for sale at $5.5 million.

The listing agents are Lauren Cangiano and Alisha Lloyd-Hudson of Brow Harris Stevens, New York.
