Beverly Hills Lighting Ceremony

Happy Holidays from Beverly Hills!
Happy Holidays from Beverly Hills!

In celebration of Baccarat’s 250th anniversary, the Centennial anniversary of City of Beverly Hills, and the 2014 holiday season, Rodeo Drive held America’s 3rd largest holiday lighting ceremony, behind the White House and Rockefeller Plaza!  Crowds gathered from all over the world to celebrate this annual Beverly Hills tradition to bring in the new Holiday season, making spirits bright and inspiring hope for what’s to come.

The ceremony featured the grand illumination of 16 hand-crafted crystal Baccarat chandeliers, nearly 150,000 lights, fireworks, the season’s first “snowfall” of confetti, and much more. Santa and his Elf had a very special arrival, repelling off the famed Luxe Rodeo Drive Hotel into the crowd. Finalist from “The Voice” Kat Perkins performed Sia’s “Chandelier” and “Let It Go” from Disney’s “Frozen” alongside world-class ice skaters Jennifer Don, Chris Trefil, and Nicole Glavas.

Operatic singing sensation ARIA, international Hop Hop competitors Nu Nations, and Citrus College’s 22-piece band Night Shift helped make the night truly spectacular. World class ice skaters Taiwan National Champion Jennifer Don, “America’s Got Talent” Aerial Ice Skater Finalist Chris Trefil, and three-time U.S. National Cheerleading Champion and National Figure Skating Showcase Silver Medalist Nicole Glavas, The Beverly Hills High School Marching Band, international Hip Hop competitors Brandon Burciaga’s Nu Nations, Citrus College’s 22-piece band Night Shift, The Insider co-host Louis Aguirre and Santa and Elf joined for the season’s first snowfall, lighting of the holiday lights and the grand illumination of 16 Baccarat chandeliers along Rodeo Drive – all followed by a fireworks finale above Rodeo Drive.

Host of “The Insider” Louis Aguirre joined Beverly Hills Mayor Lili Bosse and Global CEO of Baccarat Daniela Riccardi to “flip the switch” to commemorate the iconic milestone – 250 years of Baccarat, and 100 years of Beverly Hills.

Beverly Hills is now filled with stunningly beautiful and brightly lit crystal chandeliers which will remain throughout the holidays reminding us that it is the season to be thankful for all things and to believe that there is always something wonderful about to happen. Happy Holidays everyone! From all of us in Beverly Hills.
