Gal Gadot, the Israeli actress is our Hollywood spotlight for this week. A multi-national sensation, she has had many interesting turns in her life. Who would have thought she was Miss Israel 2004 and served in the military.

However, these interesting facts have made her be the Wonder woman that she is today; the major character she is known for. She’s also a sweet mother of two beautiful girls and she announced that the third baby is on the way this month!

Our incredible Gal Gadot was born in Petah Tikva, Israel into a Jewish family of four. She had her high school education in Begin High School, Rosh HaAyin. At 18, she became Miss Israel in 2004. After her tenure, she served in the Israel Defense Force for two years as a soldier. Armed with the military knowledge which later helped her win the role of Gisele in Fast & Furious, she proceeded to study Law and government at the prestigious IDC Herzliya college in Israel.

Gal Gadot started her acting career in 2008 with an Israeli Drama Bubot. Three months later, a casting director for her previously auditioned role of Camille Montes in the James Bond film Quantum of Solace, which she didn’t get, chose her over six other actresses to play Gisele Yashar in the film Fast & Furious.

In 2010, she starred in the action-comedy Date Night and the action-adventure comedy Knight and Day. She was brought back to the Fast & Furious franchise, continuing her role as Gisele in 2011 Fast Five; and 2013 Fast & Furious 6.

In 2016, she acted the role everyone now knows her for: the Wonder Woman, in the superhero film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Continuing to play the role, she starred in her character’s solo film and then in Justice League which was released in 2017, the sequel Wonder Woman 1984, and the alternate cut Zack Snyder’s Justice League.

For her role in the Fast & Furious franchise, she performed all her stunt work. Her dedication to work knows no bounds as she had to learn swordsmanship, capoeira, Kung-Fu, kickboxing, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu for her role as the Wonder Woman.

With 13 years of acting under her belt, Gal Gadot seems to have just started; moreover, we want to see more of her on the screen, and it seems she’s going to be giving us that.

Asides from acting, she’s also a producer. In 2019, she founded a production company, Pilot Wave, with her husband, Yaron “Jaron” Varsano. Also, she will star in and co-produce an Apple TV+ limited series about actress and inventor Hedy Lamarr. As well as Warner Bros. Historical thriller film Irena Sendler. She has been confirmed to act in the movie, Cleopatra. Also, she is starring alongside Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds in the Netflix action thriller film Red Notice.  On the 17th September 2021, her second lined-up film for the year Death on the Nile will be released.

We can’t wait to see more of Gal Gadot!
