The Beverly Hills Chamber recognizes businesses in Beverly Hills that are visionaries of true business excellence.
For the 11th year, The Chamber of Commerce will recognize exemplary business leaders by presenting awards to, Pioneer Hardware for “Community Support – Small Business,” Luxe Rodeo Drive Hotel for “Community Support – Large Business,” Randy Fuhrman Events for “Innovation – Small Business,” The Agency for “Innovation – Large Business,” Simon’s Caterers & Special Events “Above & Beyond – Small Business,” and Whole Foods Market Beverly Hills for “Above & Beyond – Large Business.” The Gala will take place on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at the L’Ermitage Hotel Rooftop. The Emcee for Awards Gala will be Beverly Hills native Daisy Tormé, amazing actress, singer, TV and radio presenter, the daughter of jazz legend Mel Tormé and British Actress Janette Scott. Throughout the evening two dazzling entertainment groups will be performing: the Electric Angels, that play unique arrangements of current and classic rock and pop hits on electric violins, viola and cello; and Aria, a talented quartet made up of four former members of the Ten Tenors.
This year, the Presenting Sponsor of the Awards Gala is the decadent L’Ermitage Beverly Hills Hotel and the events Gold Sponsors are Wells Fargo and Sprint; Silver Sponsors are Rothstein Kass and Mercedes-Benz of Beverly Hills; and Bronze Sponsor Torrey Pines Bank.

Daisy has worked in almost every corner of the performing arts: Film, television, radio, stage, opera and much voice-over and animation (including The Newsroom, The Hangover, CSI, The Mentalist, Law and Order, Castle, Ninja Scroll, Syriana, etc. etc. etc.). For years, she has been a KCET favorite and has hosted a live evening with Josh Grobin and Chris Botti, and has also branched out into other areas for KCET including hosting An Evening with Dr. Wayne Dyer, Prime Suspect. She has even hosted a couple of Antiques Roadshow Live Auction TV Events alongside the Roadshow’s own Mark L. Walberg. She was awarded congressional recognition in 2007 for her contribution to the community and her dedication to the promotion of the “Great American Song Book.” Daisy donates her time to many non-profit and charitable causes as well. She has hosted several events for the Cancer Support Community and YWCA, worked on the jazz-fundraiser committee at the Stroke Association of Southern California, hosted a telethon for Pet-Place Animal Shelters, celebrity-bowled (very badly!) for AIDS research, voiced the Free Arts For Abused Children campaign as well as much more. The Electric Angels use the classic instruments of the standard string quartet in very unconventional ways. About Aria
Scott Fields, Craig Hendry, Liam McLachlan and Jason Short spent much of the 2000s travelling the world with acclaimed Australian vocal group, The Ten Tenors. Having performed in over 25 countries around the world and more than 250 shows per year, they decided to go their separate ways. As luck would have it, they all ended up in the USA, and (to cut a long and nap-inducing story short) the lads reunited in 2012 to perform for a one-off charity gala in Texas. One gig turned into two, two into three, and before long, they realized that they stumbled onto something pretty special. Thus, ARIA was born.
