The Vision EQ Silver Arrow is an exciting teaser of electrified supercars to expect. Though the company deems the concept as a “show car,” and a homage to W125 Silver Arrow. Still, sighting the car is a celebration in itself.
Moreover, the EQ brand has every quality of a progressive luxury car. From the flamboyance, exaggerations, technology to design expressions. It’s perfect. The dream car arises from unfamiliar beauty, which combines digital and analog elements. Plus, the seamless merging of the intuitive physical design.
Futuristic Interior of a Dream Car
When you hop inside, you meet a stylish and luxurious outlook similar to Mercedes E-Class. The floor has solid walnut finishing while the fine leather covers a part of the cockpit. Plus, one seat on the center of the car that’s comfortable enough to slumber. And a four-point safety harness that keeps you tucked in the seat.
On the steering wheel, you have a mounted touchscreen with multiple functions. For example, the button for choosing between the drive modes, Comfort, Sport, and Sport+. An on-board jukebox button, which plays to your choice of sound output. And in front, you have a small roll bar for safety purposes.
Mercedes added an extra on the cockpit, a race simulation game. If you play virtual racing, the virtual track appears on the front aero screen. What’s more? You can race against a virtual car and get advice from a race coach on how to improve your skills.
Exterior Outlook of this “Show Car”
They built the body structure of this luxury car from carbon fiber. Also, you have aesthetics with multiple layers of applied alubeam silver, which looks like liquid metal.
Besides, the car has functional attachments of carbon fiber parts. For example, the front splitter exemplifies the philosophy of a rational aspect and coolness. Too, the front trim, looks like a display.
On the front, they framed the headlights with a blue LED lighting. The side skirts have a continuous strip of blue light. Also, this dream car features a recessed EQ lettering illuminating near the front wheels.
Another unique aspect is the driver’s cockpit, which folds forward with free-standing multi-spoke wheels. Each of the 168 spokes per wheel were designed using lightweight aluminum and painted rose gold.
The Mercedes EQ Silver Arrows comes with an 80 kWh battery pack. It also features an electric motor capable of producing 738 horsepower. They estimate the battery to cover over 400 km as per the WLTP. Plus, the car has air vents on the sides for cooling the battery.
As expected, Mercedes doesn’t disappoint. They kept their famous pedigree of a fast car performance with this “show car.” It’s estimated to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in less than two seconds. Proving that it’s not just a nice-looking car but a fast one as well.
Without a doubt, the Mercedes EQ Silver Arrow Concept is mysterious, exciting, and impressive. Mercedes Benz is clearly capable of designing a concept that is unimaginable and practical at the same time. Furthermore, Mercedes is already developing more products riding on the same technology, especially the electric battery pack. We’re excited to see what the future holds in store for these dream cars.
