Arnold & Son Watchmakers have yet again proven their prowess in watchmaking, with their new Ultrathin Tourbillon Koi watch. This latest unveiling is surprisingly part of their métiers d’art collection, with miniature painting blending on the mother-of-pearl dial, and two silver lotus blossoms; all hand-painted and engraved to give it a personalized look.

Focus on Personalization
The new Tourbillon KOI offers a vast degree of flexibility for customers when it comes to personalization. Customers have the capacity to make some changes on the dial or movement to make it more special. They can do this via engravings, sculpted objects, gem-setting, and miniature paintings.
On the dial’s right-hand side, you’ll notice a Techno carp with a huge red spot swimming through. To the left, you can’t miss another carp in orange and white swimming towards the silver lotus flowers.

Above the Techno carps are two well-sculpted lotus flowers. They are hand-designed, with the petals made from silver, then polished, engraved, and painted using white lacquer. Arnold & Son pay key attention to the details when painting these carps and flowers.
They use extremely thin hand brushes to add critical features like scales and stripped fins. For better precision, they also design each flower’s pistil separately then later combine them for the perfect lotus.

The watch also bears an off-centered dial at 12 O’clock, which frees up some space to provide ample empty canvas for the customer’s desired style. And finally, the dial’s base comes in a blue shade giving it a shimmering aquatic feel.
