GoldSRD is a specialized consulting and professional services firm built around the idea of delivering a “gold standard” approach to staffing, executive recruiting, and professional development. Headquartered in Plano, Texas, the company focuses on helping organizations strengthen their internal audit, accounting, finance, and risk management functions through a highly tailored, people-first methodology. What sets GoldSRD apart is its ability to quickly match companies with top-tier talent—often within 72 hours—while prioritizing not just technical expertise, but also personality and cultural fit, ensuring long-term success rather than short-term placement.
Beyond recruiting, GoldSRD is widely recognized for its extensive professional development offerings, including more than 200–280 full-day courses covering both technical disciplines and “People-Centric” soft skills like communication, leadership, and emotional intelligence. These programs are designed to be interactive, practical, and aligned with industry standards, with some recognized by leading professional bodies such as the Institute of Internal Auditors. With a reputation for high client satisfaction and a strong emphasis on real-world application, GoldSRD positions itself as an all-in-one solution for organizations seeking to elevate talent, improve performance, and build stronger leadership pipelines across complex business environments. We get up close and personal in this exclusive interview…
Beverly Hills Magazine: Let’s dive right in—what inspired you to start your company and focus on audit, risk, compliance, and governance?
Danny M. Goldberg: My background was in internal audit, and during that time, I realized I had no passion for what I was doing. I was working extreme hours, missing time with my young children, and ultimately felt disconnected from my purpose. In 2009, during the recession, I made the decision to leave. I had been writing and speaking on the side, and when I reached out to industry contacts, I realized there was demand for my expertise. That’s when I decided to build my own business. Over time, it scaled significantly, and what motivates me most now is the freedom—being able to control my time and my life.
Beverly Hills Magazine: What does your company name represent, and how does your model work?
Danny M. Goldberg: The name reflects Gold Standard combined with staffing, recruiting, and development. Training is our core, but because we deeply understand our clients’ teams and culture, we expanded into recruiting and staffing. This allows us to offer a comprehensive, highly personalized solution.
Beverly Hills Magazine: How do your services impact businesses?
Danny M. Goldberg: Our biggest differentiator is customization. We tailor training specifically to each organization so they can immediately apply what they learn. Execution is everything—ideas alone do not create results.
Beverly Hills Magazine: What are the biggest challenges companies face today?
Danny M. Goldberg: Keeping up with compliance changes and managing high turnover are major issues. Many organizations lack structured training, which creates skill gaps. Artificial intelligence is also rapidly reshaping the landscape.
Beverly Hills Magazine: How has artificial intelligence impacted your business?
Danny M. Goldberg: It has significantly improved efficiency, especially in research and content creation. While it may not always improve quality, it dramatically reduces time.
Beverly Hills Magazine: How has the demand for specialized talent in governance and risk management changed?
Danny M. Goldberg: The demand is strong, but fewer people are entering the field, which is driving salaries higher. At the same time, companies are being more cautious and deliberate in their hiring processes, often taking several months to make decisions.
Beverly Hills Magazine: What makes your approach to staffing and recruiting different?
Danny M. Goldberg: We focus on quality over quantity. We take the time to understand the organization, its culture, and its people. Most of the candidates we present are individuals we know personally or have been thoroughly vetted. Our goal is not to send many candidates, but to send the right ones.
Beverly Hills Magazine: What is the most common gap you see in audit functions?
Danny M. Goldberg: Many organizations lack formal training plans and do not conduct proper skills assessments. As a result, employees are not fully prepared to advance in their roles, which creates long-term inefficiencies.
Beverly Hills Magazine: What inspired you to write your book?
Danny M. Goldberg: The book focuses on setting boundaries and building self-respect. Many people struggle with saying no and end up losing themselves trying to please others. It is about earning respect rather than seeking approval.
Beverly Hills Magazine: How can people balance being assertive without becoming rude?
Danny M. Goldberg: It is about being kind but firm. Set boundaries, communicate clearly, and do not feel the need to over-explain. Confidence grows when you consistently reinforce your standards.
Beverly Hills Magazine: What new ventures are you working on?
Danny M. Goldberg: I am launching a functional luxury pocket square designed for both style and practicality, as well as a new dating application focused on meaningful connections rather than superficial attraction.
Beverly Hills Magazine: Wow! Spoken like a true entrepreneur. We wish you boundless success in all your ventures.
Danny M. Goldberg: Thank you very much.
As a true business leader, Danny M. Goldberg brings a rare combination of deep technical expertise, real-world business experience, and courageous honesty. Through GoldSRD and his writing, he continues to help organizations and leaders communicate more effectively, set stronger boundaries, and build high-performing, people-centric teams. Thank you, Danny, for showing that great leadership requires both strength and heart.
