Time Concepts introduces ProTek, its new brand of tritium tactical watches, from the Former Owner and Founder of Luminox, Barry Cohen. Stemming from the successful history of Luminox, the manufacturers have designed ProTek for a similar core group that includes Law Enforcement, SWAT, Tactical, Military, Special Forces, Fire Fighters, and First Responders.
The no-excuses brand is “Rugged at Heart ” and built to handle what life demands in any environment, lending credence to the tag line … “All Terrain Watches.” Moreover, the makers make all the watches in a spotless assembly facility that has safeguards in place. There is also an air filtration system that cleans the air inside, equivalent to an ISO7 clean-room standard.
ProTek proudly announces that it has become the Official Watch of the United States Marines Corps. ProTek watches were submitted to the USMC for review and analysis. They were approved as an Official Watch of the USMC based on the accuracy, durability, and superior ProGlo™ illumination. So, this makes these ideal timepieces to serve Marines in the line of duty, and in their daily lives. Moreover, they are also ideal for anyone living an active outdoor lifestyle.
Designed in Switzerland, ProTek is an American watch brand, conceived and manufactured with the best quality components available to ensure years of problem-free wear with no issues. The Carbon Composite Dive Series uses a carbon composite case with a tight 60-click unidirectional rotating bezel with stainless steel screw case back and screw crown that confers 300 meters of water resistance. Moreover, the manufacturers have fitted it with sapphire crystals with antireflective coatings, and dependable Japanese quartz movements with 10-year batteries. The lightweight watches also employ superior self-powered Swiss tritium illumination. This enables them to glow continuously for 25 years, providing time-at-a-glance visibility in any light condition. They can also glow in complete darkness, and come on comfortable genuine rubber straps with signature buckles. The ProTek Carbon Composite Case Dive Series is the first of three series in the launch collection. The company will begin shipping in July.
ProTek launches with three series – a Carbon Composite Case dive series (The Carbon Series), a Steel dive series (The Steel Series), and a Titanium field series (The Titanium Series), with straps in genuine rubber or specially treated waterproof leather. Four other series are in development as well for later release.
“This is a very exciting launch for us as it brings us back to our roots making luxury watches for some of our toughest heroes, using the same unsurpassed self-powered illumination I pioneered with my former brand, so I’m back in “my lane” so to speak,” said Barry Cohen, Managing Partner of Time Concepts. “Our brand name defines us with ‘Pro’ meaning made for professionals, and ‘Tek’ signifying our superior self-powered illumination technology. In a bit of a word pun, the makers created the watches keeping in mind those who “protect” us. Since they have a tough hearts, they’re able to withstand the rigors of an active, demanding lifestyle. We are very proud to become an Official Watch of the U.S. Marine Corps which seems a great fit since they are among the most elite protectors.”
The ProTek brand combines superior quality in components used. Moreover, its manufacturing processes come with reasonable pricing in watches ideally suited to the active outdoor enthusiast. Moreover, the Carbon dive series has a suggested retail of $525, with some models in other series slightly higher.
About Time Concepts, LLC
The ProTek brand will be part of the portfolio of brands under the Time Concepts umbrella. Barry Cohen started Time Concepts, in 2007 during his tenure at Luminox Watch; a Swiss-made watch company he founded and owned for 27 years. Luminox gained fame for making watches for Navy SEALs after a research and development officer approached him. They asked to have a watch made for them that used the proprietary self-powered illumination.
Time Concepts was a platform to develop private label watches. As the business evolved, it added its own Szanto vintage brand and the Hawaiian Lifeguard Association brand of dive watches, and now Time Concepts is introducing the ProTek line of men’s watches. Time Concepts develops watches in Switzerland and Asia and uses only top-quality manufacturers. Most of the company’s watches are manufactured in a dust-free, temperature- and humidity-controlled clean-room environment to ensure years of dependable service.
