There’s nothing more relaxing than enjoying a vacation on a luxury yacht, particularly when secure in the knowledge you’re aiding a worthy cause at the same time. One lucky person and nine of their friends will soon enjoy this experience. The owner of the magnificent sailing yacht TIARA is auctioning a one-week charter in South-East Asia in aid of charity organization One Drop. The 54.3m vessel is managed by yacht brokerage, Y.CO, who announced the opening of bids on 1st March 2016. The yacht is owned by Cirque du Soleil mastermind, Guy Laliberté, who founded the non-profit One Drop with the goal of creating sustainable access to safe water for communities around the world.
The auction is part of One Night For One Drop, a stand-alone show and event performed in Las Vegas by artists from Cirque du Soleil, alongside special celebrity guests. There are plenty of incentives to participate, beginning with the fact that the auction’s opening bid is set at less than half of the yacht’s usual rate. TIARA is a joy to sail: she was designed for ocean waters with a full sailing inventory. The winners of the auction will have a truly unique luxury yacht experience for up to 10 guests, while supporting a good cause.
Not only is the stunning yacht elegantly designed with an Art Deco inspired interior, but she also comes with a host of amenities. Equipped with all imaginable home comforts and up-to-date technology, the huge aft deck is also able to accommodate a 4x4m Bedouin tent – perfect for romantic evenings spent sipping cocktails or relaxing movie nights. There is also a hot tub to soothe aching joints after a day spent playing in the water with the huge selection of toys, including Seabobs, kayaks, wake boards and windsurfs. Guests can even try kite surfing with a trained on-board instructor. For those who want to continue the action into the night, a full DJ setup on deck makes it possible to dance under the stars.
If that’s not enough, the lucky winners get even more underwater fun since the package also includes the services of representatives from Dive Butler International. From PADI diving instructors to an on board Marine Biologist – who will explain what flora and fauna guests can expect to see in the local waters – fun, safety and education are all covered. These extras make TIARA’s package worth USD 250,000. If you’re interested in bidding, read more about the auction or contact a member of the Y.CO team.
