Beverly Hills Magazine:  Hi Mike, how are you doing?

Mike Wood: I am wonderful. Thank you, I’m doing wonderful.

Beverly Hills Magazine: I’m so glad to hear it. Let’s dive in—tell us about your journey with anxiety and depression and how you reached the point of healing you’re at today.

Mike Wood: I dealt with severe anxiety and depression until I was about 45. Despite achieving milestones—like becoming COO of Jarrett Companies, where we grew from $2.5 million to $90 million annually over 10 years—nothing truly made me happy. I thought the next job, more money, or the perfect wife would, but they didn’t. After fixing company roadblocks for six months, I turned my focus inward, reflecting on my mistakes. This sparked a spiritual journey with meditation, and I’m not the same person anymore. My anxiety and depression are gone, and I experience life beautifully now.

Beverly Hills Magazine: That’s inspiring, especially how spiritual growth transformed you. Your journey inspired the Learn to Love Being You program—tell us about it.

Mike Wood: The program summarizes everything I did to heal. I pursued healing with intensity—meditating two to three hours daily and reading 20 books a month. I met an energy healer, Chris Hancock, who taught me to revisit childhood trauma memories and reframe them with compassion, love, and forgiveness. Unlike therapy, which keeps issues alive, this rewrites core beliefs. I developed a writing exercise to do this myself, shared it, and saw it work for others. Healing about 20 traumas quieted my negative self-talk, and now, at over 150, I see “funky” days as gifts to reframe more beliefs, turning life into joy.

Beverly Hills Magazine: That’s powerful work. How does someone know if they’re stuck in a negative belief cycle or have unhealed trauma?

Mike Wood: Understanding the subconscious mind is key—it’s a million times more powerful than the conscious mind, running programs like driving or walking without thinking. For example, a two-year-old falling into a pool imprints fear to protect them. The subconscious doesn’t distinguish between ego attachments—like being a COO—and real threats, reacting the same way. If a child feels ugly, stupid, unlovable, or unworthy in an emotional moment, that’s programmed. Years later, it can sabotage efforts, like starting a business, because the subconscious still feels “stupid.” Reframing these moments with love and forgiveness releases the belief, as the subconscious realizes there’s no threat.

Beverly Hills Magazine: Fascinating how the subconscious drives us. Can you explain how your 10-week program helps people break free from these cycles?

Mike Wood: The program builds progressively. Weeks one to three teach tools to shift into happiness: Week one brings attention to the present moment, where anxiety (future) and depression (past) can’t exist. Week two separates the true self from thoughts, showing negative thoughts come from past trauma, not you. Week three identifies and reframes negative thoughts, like turning “today’s horrible” into “today’s beautiful,” and builds sensitivity to environmental negativity, prompting boundary-setting. Weeks four and five focus on self-love, with exercises like writing a love letter to yourself. Weeks six to eight address healing, removing ego attachments—like job titles—that the subconscious protects, reducing negative triggers. By week eight, participants reframe core beliefs, creating lasting change.

Beverly Hills Magazine: I love the emphasis on self-love and healing. Can you share a personal example of how reframing a core belief transformed you?

Mike Wood: As a child, I visited my dad in Tennessee, who, in a drunken state, bragged about never losing fights. As a young, impressionable kid, I formed a core belief that I had to fight to prove myself. Growing up in a rough neighborhood, I ran from fights, felt ashamed, then fought to overcome fear, even boxing. At 48, I traced this belief to that moment with my dad. By reframing it with compassion, love, and forgiveness for him and myself, the shame and fear vanished. Those 200 unnecessary fights stemmed from a 12-year-old’s misunderstanding, showing how subconscious programs push us until healed.

Beverly Hills Magazine: That’s profound. Your program blends spiritual principles like forgiveness—how do you incorporate these, and what role does faith play?

Mike Wood: I didn’t grow up Christian and had an aversion to it, but I now see Jesus’ teachings as amazing, blending them with Buddhist principles. In the program, when healing, we use two phrases: “People in pain cause pain,” recognizing subconscious actions, and Jesus’ words, “Forgive them for they know not what they do.” These make forgiveness liberating, freeing us from others’ pain-driven actions. Faith helps shift from fear to love, producing oxytocin—the “love drug”—instead of cortisol. This aligns with our divine self, where God’s perfect love casts out fear, empowering us to live in joy and peace.

Beverly Hills Magazine: Beautifully said. How can people get involved in the Learn to Love Being You program?

Mike Wood: Visit learntolovebeingyou.com—it’s live with more updates coming. The program costs $500, a small price for life change, but if anyone struggles financially, email me at mike@learntolovebeingyou.com, and I’ll work with them. It requires an hour a day, and commitment is key. Those who stick with it, even after breaks, see transformation in three weeks and beyond. Testimonials on the site confirm this, but you must be sick and tired of being sick and tired to put in the work.

Beverly Hills Magazine: It’s empowering to know there’s hope. How long does it take to fully address anxiety and depression with your program?

Mike Wood: Anxiety can be managed in one to two weeks with the tools provided, though it may flare up, requiring consistent use. Depression takes two to three years for full healing, as it involves rewriting many core beliefs. The 10-week program equips you with tools to continue healing, removing ego attachments and forgiving past wounds. Finishing the program transforms you, and ongoing healing can open your heart chakra, feeling like a divine hug—an indescribable, sci-fi-like joy.

Beverly Hills Magazine: It’s been an honor and a pleasure speaking with you, Mike Wood. We wish you endless success with this transformative program and many more lives changed!

Mike Wood: Thank you so much. This has been a joy, and I’d love to come back. God bless you, and I look forward to keeping in touch!
