By Daniel Zamora:
Times are changing. Faces and relationships, new and old friends come and go. The days of the baby boomers are behind us. Our new lives we’ve created from our hard work are before us. The world we live in today is not what it used to be. The financial landscape is changing and so is the value of money, but one thing will always remain the same. The value of gold. Are you invested?
The question is: have we prepared for this reality? We will have to face it sooner than later. Growing up we attended school; we were involved in social clubs to be of service and also in community initiatives in hopes of making a difference.
Now we are progressing in our years dependent on our employers, social security and our pensions. Scary isn’t it? When the system seems to have failed us and still our years of labor seem more for naught than anything else.
In 1963 a man took the world stage, he was young, bright and carried much God given wisdom. His words resonate even today. Ask a baby boomer or listen in on social media. This man you will see and hopefully remember is Martin Luther King Jr. His message was one of freedom from the chains of bondage without prejudice to race or religion. His famous words entitled “I have a dream”. This brilliant man of speech had a dream of equality, fairness and good will to all. The message he shared was thus set in motion and his listeners either applauded, remained obtuse or simply just did not get it.
In our current economy, its currency is one of an obtuse nature. We were told to get it, we were told to trust, we were given the message that what we work for will provide for our loved ones and ourselves. It promised to give us freedom in our golden years. While our golden years are among us, where is the truth? freedom? For many, they don’t exist. If you don’t believe me, then here are the facts.
Since 1933, President Franklin D. Roosevelt created uproar in the American economy, with the confiscation of gold. This system had its place of course. President Richard Nixon canceled the gold standard in 1971, officially ending the convertibility of our money, US dollars to gold. This cancelled out gold, our true currency, which backed our new inflatable and deflatable dollars.
These decisions good or bad, which our leaders behind us implemented into society created collateral damage to its citizens at home and worldwide. The die has been cast, the game has been played, and there are winners and losers. Which one are you? Do you know how to play the game?
Life, business, corporate America, blue and white-collar workers and executives, we all play a part to our contribution in some way to society. They have played their game, now let’s play ours. Money is useless and will continue to decline in value unless there is a remedy. There is a solution. The truth is the dollar you now hold has lost 98% of its value. Inflation is at an all time high, and this will only continue to rise. The table of choice has now been prepared. Are your Pensions, 401K’s and IRA’s working for you?
