If you’re looking for luxury villa rentals and are willing to pay the price, you’ll find many popular vacations spots around the world. Unfortunately, many of the best luxury vacation destinations aren’t best suited to large families.

However, if you know where to look, you can find plenty of resorts that are just perfect for family vacations. Here is a selection of some of our favorites:

1. Four Seasons Resort, Walt Disney World

It’s not for nothing that Disney World is called the Most Magical Place on Earth! For kids, a visit to Disney World is nothing short of a dream come true, and even for adults, it’s a pretty special experience.

You can drop off your kids at the Kids for All Seasons camp and have complete peace of mind that they’ll be kept happy and safe. While they’re occupied, guests with plenty of energy can play golf or tennis (including pro coaching).

For a unique twist on fun, don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy a round of Disney mini golf, adding an extra layer of enchantment to your vacation. And when you’re ready for a break, the array of delectable dining options within the park will ensure that every palate is satisfied.

The Five-Diamond Four Seasons Resort boasts a AAA rating, and the spa offers a range of holistic wellness treatments.

2. The Ritz-Carlton, Cayman Islands

Ideal for families who love the water, the five-star Grand Cayman resort offers snorkeling, sailing, and similar water sports. You can also take eco-tours, kayaking through the mangroves or going on expeditions in glass-bottomed boats.

When you’re not in the water, you can play golf or tennis. For teenagers, the Wave Game Room provides Xbox and PlayStation facilities, and younger children are fully catered for in the Ritz Kids Club. With the kids out of the way, parents can relax at six different restaurants and bars or indulge in spa treatments.

All suites are equipped with full kitchens and up to three bedrooms.

3. Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa, St. Lucia

If it’s space you need, Coconut Bay definitely has it! The island property spans 80 acres of grounds, including tennis and basketball courts and a massive water park. If you decide to vacation here, the kids will have plenty to do, with a mini zip line, paintball, and a petting zoo on offer.

For your all-inclusive fee, you get unlimited access to food and beverages, fitness classes, water sports, and entertainment.

In the family section of the resort, up to six guests can be accommodated in the two connecting bedrooms, each with either a king bed or two queen beds. Each suite also contains a sitting area with a sleeper couch and a private balcony or patio. That should be plenty of space for everybody!

4. Azul Fives Hotel, Mexico

The name of this hotel should give you a hint: it’s ideal for families of five (or more). You can book two or three-bedroom suites, all of which have a master bedroom, another one or two bedrooms, a living room (with sleeper couch), and a fully-equipped kitchen.

All your meals (including special kids’ menu) are provided, and, for kids aged 4-12 years, so is a kids’ club. For adults and older children, there’s snorkeling, volleyball, tennis, ping-pong, and shuffleboard. If you’re traveling with an infant, you won’t even have to bring all your own baby gear! Strollers, baby food, baby bottles, bottle warmers, and baby monitors are provided.

5. Melia Caribe Tropical, Dominican Republic

Melia Caribe is one of the most child-friendly resorts you’ll find. In addition to the nine outdoor pools, this resort offers a zip line, a super jumper (trampoline), and a rock climbing wall. It’s only a few steps from the hotel to the beach, and great craft workshops are provided to keep everyone busy on rainy days.

Each Family Junior suite contains a king bed and two twin beds, with an additional camp bed or sleeper sofa if desired. A dividing curtain can be used to create two separate areas within the room.

Everything your kids may need to enjoy their luxury vacations to the max is provided, including beach toys, bath amenities, an extra set of drawers (to store the kids’ toys separately), and a step stool to ensure that even the littles can spit in the sink after tooth brushing.

Final Thoughts

These are some of the most popular luxury family vacations around. However, they’re not cheap! It’s more difficult to find luxury family vacation destinations if you’re trying to work with a more limited budget, but certainly not impossible.

Whatever location you end up choosing, the chance to spend time with loved ones, share adventures, and eat and drink and play together is what makes the vacation special!
