UNITY The Movie
UNITY The Movie

Once in a lifetime an opportunity will come along that can change the way you see the world, it will change the way you see yourself and others, but most importantly it will change the world itself. Shaun Monson, creator of the film, Earthlings has ventured into a new realm of possibilities and what it truly means to be human.

Seven years in the making, writer/director Shaun Monson has accomplished a never been done before feat gathering over 10 of today’s biggest celebrities lending their voices to this powerful film including Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Chastain, Kevin Spacey, Kristen Wiig, Marion Cotillard, Olivia Wilde, Rose Byrne and Zoe Saldana, among many others pictured below.

We learned more about the mission behind UNITY and why this could become the best movie ever made.

Beverly Hills Magazine: What was the inspiration for the film?

Shaun Monson: For many years I have been observing the world around me, as we all do. I was starting to notice the increasing insensitivity of the human race. There is such a vast chasm between one’s ability to be compassionate toward others and yet on the other end of the spectrum, to be destructive and violent. Gandhi and Hitler are the two prime and most extreme examples of the range of human capacities to love or to hate. It was this dichotomy that fascinated me and it is this that we explore in the film.

Beverly Hills Magazine: What do you hope others will receive from the film?

Shaun Monson: The message of the film is simply, “Not the Same, but Equal,” whether it’s human, animal or tree. I want people to realize that there is no technology that could ever be invented or material object that could ever solve the problems of the human race; the solution lies within the heart of each of us, and only once it is awakened can we really begin to effect change in our own lives and in the lives of others.

Beverly Hills Magazine: Why include over 100 high profile celebrities?

Shaun Monson:  It didn’t start out that way. As we began filming and narrating each scene of the film, it became increasingly obvious that there something more needed. As we added more cast members to expand the voice of the film, we kept realizing we need more voices; more people to really represent the concept of UNITY. It’s almost as if the greater the diversity of the narrators, the more symbolic it is for the film. In the end, it works like a symphony, the more voices; the more beautiful the message.

Book your tickets today to see one of the most revolutionary films to hit the big screen but for ONE DAY ONLY. Finally a message of hope, of love, and of UNITY that can change the way we interact with the world around us, thereby changing the world, one act of kindness at a time.
