No matter who they are, when your favorite celebrity is in the public eye in the 21st century the camera is always on. Yes, even when going to the dentist there is someone’s with a camera phone filming or going live. Being able to look good at all times is almost an impossible feat. We have found testimony after testimony from Hollywood actresses and singers that the key to staying camera ready all starts and ends with one sentence: “How’s My Hair”

Running out to the Starbucks or to run an errand is easy for the face. A pair of stylish eyeglasses or sunglasses will take care of the face. The perfect pair of beautiful frames is the ultimate trick to hide a less than perfect appearance. Unfortunately, the hair can’t be covered with a pair of shades; and a baseball cap only makes a woman look more homely. Let’s face it, the coupling of a baseball cap and glasses in most cases does more harm than good.

Most celebrities today use human hair extensions and hairpieces to keep themselves looking seamless and always put together. Here are 5 ways that celebrities keep every hair in place in front of the camera.

Headband Wig:

Yes, I’m sure you’ve seen these and heard about them as they are the latest and most popular hair modality that’s sweeping the western hemisphere. The headband wig is easy to install. In less than 2 minutes a woman can look well put together, ready to take on whatever may be thrown her way.

This wig can be taken off and put back on as needed. It’s less expensive than traditional hair extensions and can be used to protect your natural hair as a protective style and doesn’t require hours in a stylist chair. Headband wigs are even being used in Hollywood productions now to cut down on the prep time of an actress. This is a perfect piece for the woman on the go that has no time for prep but still wants to look cute enough to be asked out on a date.

Highlights hair extensions:

Highlight extensions are not for the faint of heart. These are for the full-on “glamour girl” that doesn’t want to just look presentable, she wants to be jaw-dropping gorgeous to the public eye. Think Beyonce when you think of highlight extensions. These extensions really pick up the color tone of your skin and make you stand out. It’s visually clear that you take extremely good care of yourself if you’re wearing highlights. Best of all it cuts down on the time it would take to do the coloring yourself.

Clip-in hair:

We’re all no stranger to clip-in extensions, although it’s really important what hair company you get them from. Clip-ins are easy to handle and manage. Especially if you don’t want an over the top look, but would like a fuller, longer mane. You can install Clip-ins at home, and wear them all day, although you’re encouraged to take them out at night, before bed.

Lace front wigs:

Dubbed the holy grail of hair, lace front wigs have been around for over a decade now but technology has made them even more desirable than ever. Today a lace front wig can be in all colors and head capsizes. They differ in textures such as deep curl, water wave, Italian curl, Loose deep wave, and of course body wave and straight texture. We know celebrities have no problem investing in themselves when it comes to their looks. So, if you’re interested in making a solid investment into a transformation, lace frontal wigs are a good place to start. You may even want to look into Full lace wigs, which are an upgrade to the lace front wigs.

360 lace front wig:

The 360 wigs have been around for a few years and are still popular among many of Hollywood’s elite. The 360 wig is just like any other wig. However, it allows you to use your own hair in tandem with the natural human hair of the wig. 360 wigs only come in Remy human hair and virgin human hair. Depending on your hair texture they’re a great way to add volume to your tresses. They’re also easy to install and uninstall yourself. This is another one that doesn’t require a hairstylist.

Tape-in Hair:

Tape-in hair extensions are a lot like clip-in except there is an adhesive glue on tape to apply the hair onto your own. I must admit that I’m partial to clip-ins over tape-ins, but there are so many women that swear by them. So, I suppose it’s a matter of preference. Although tape-ins can be applied yourself, I personally have a hard time installing them and always seem to need assistance. Tape-ins are a Hollywood favorite and should be considered as a viable option for the camera.

Ponytail extensions:

The ponytail hair extensions are probably the easiest, most simple, and least expensive out of the seven types. However, it’s also the most conservative. The ponytail extension is just that: a ready-made ponytail that has satin ties on it, and it allows any woman to tie it to the bun at the top of the head. Simply make a bun, and tie the ponytail extension on to the bun, it’s that simple. Although it is a subdued look, not every woman wants hair draped to the back of her knees and is fuller than the average blonde hair do’s in the ’80s. All of us are different, we all crave different things. I suppose that’s why there are so many different ways to have a flawless hair look. We all want to look fabulous before the camera, but require different ways to express it.

So, the next time you spot your favorite Hollywood celebrity or music artist on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or even in person while they are going about their daily task of errand running, driving in their flashy car, or making a coffee pick up, pay very close attention to their hair. I personally make a game of trying to figure of if it’s a wig or clip-ins they’re wearing. I think if you look closely, you’ll see that they may just be wearing sweats, a t-shirt, and a fabulous pair of sunglasses on. But somehow, every hair seems to be in its proper place.
